The first spinoff of The Fast Saga officially premiered last August with the release of Hobbs & Shaw which expanded the journey of Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham's characters.

The third movie, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, technically stood as a standalone movie when it first premiered but later installments tied into the narrative (and shifted its place in the timeline). The first few installments in The Fast Saga primarily focused on the world of street racing. As the franchise grew, so did the core cast by acquiring stars like Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne Johnson. The action-packed street racing movie introduced the world to the franchise's main cast of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster. The franchise, now officially called " The Fast Saga," kicked off with The Fast and the Furious in 2001.
